Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read The Danish Dispatch, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, larger text or who see colours differently.
What we do
- We use clear, plain English, written for people who may not have English or Danish as their first language.
- We never use colour alone to show meaning. Links and buttons are also marked by underlining, shape or text.
- Text has strong contrast against the background.
- Photos have captions, and we add text descriptions (alt text) to new images.
- The site works on phones and tablets, and you can zoom in without losing content.
- We do not use moving or flashing animations as you scroll.
Known problems
Many images on the site, especially older ones, are missing text descriptions (alt text), so screen reader users may not know what they show. We are adding alt text to new images and working through the older ones.
Tell us about a problem
If something on the site is hard to use, email jonas.laursen@danishdispatch.dk and tell us which page and what went wrong. We will try to fix it, and in the meantime we can send you the content in another format.
