Ṣumūd (صمود) – DFUNK cultural festival

Ṣumūd is an Arabic word for steadfastness and resilience, and it is the name DFUNK, the youth organisation of the Danish Refugee Council, has given its two-day cultural festival at Union & Alice. The festival celebrates the diversity of Arab culture and the communities that come together across boundaries, with music, art, literature, talks and time together. The talks are in Danish, and the music is in several languages, mainly Arabic and English. Entry is free and registering is recommended, but space is limited and registering does not guarantee entry; see the Facebook event.
