Terms of use and republishing
These terms apply when you use danishdispatch.dk. By using the site, you accept them. We have tried to keep them short and fair.
Our content
The articles, photos, graphics and other content on The Danish Dispatch are protected by copyright. The text belongs to The Danish Dispatch or to the writer who wrote it. Photos and other images belong to the photographer or the source named in the credit, and we use them with permission or under their licence.
Sharing is welcome
You are very welcome to share links to our articles, and to quote short passages with a clear credit and a link to the original article, for example: “Source: The Danish Dispatch” with a link.
Republishing
Free reuse for students and non-profits. Students and non-profit organisations may republish our article text free of charge, for non-commercial use, as long as they:
- credit The Danish Dispatch
- link to the original article
- do not change its meaning
This does not include photos and other images. Many of them are licensed from third parties, so they can only be used on the terms of the photographer or source. See our photo and image policy. The reservation on text and data mining and AI training below also still applies.
Everyone else. You may not copy whole articles, large parts of articles, or our photos and graphics onto another website, newsletter, social media account or publication without written permission. If you would like to republish something, email jonas.laursen@danishdispatch.dk and tell us what you want to use and where.
Using our content for AI
We reserve the right to text and data mining of our content under section 11 b of the Danish Copyright Act and Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790. You may not use our content to train, fine-tune or feed AI systems without our written permission. This does not limit text and data mining for scientific research permitted by section 11 c.
Accuracy
We work hard to get things right and we correct our mistakes, as described in our corrections policy. Our articles and guides are journalism, not legal, financial, tax or immigration advice. For decisions about your own situation, check with the relevant authority or a professional adviser.
Links to other websites
We link to other websites so you can read more or check our sources. We are not responsible for the content of those sites.
Using the site fairly
Please do not try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the site, and do not use automated tools to copy large amounts of content.
Changes and Danish law
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies. These terms are covered by Danish law.
